College Credit Program (CCP) Concurrent Enrollment

High School

By enrolling in the CCP you:

  • Earn college credit for your classes
  • May earn high school credit (check with your counselor)
  • Complete your university degree earlier by earning transferable college credit at College of Marin

College of Marin’s curriculum is equivalent to courses offered in the first two years at the University of California and California State University systems. Each year hundreds of high school students enroll in a variety of College of Marin classes, including foreign language, science, dance, art, music, social science, and more. If you are not planning to transfer to a four-year university, consider enrolling in one of our workforce preparation programs such as business, multimedia, court reporting, medical assisting, or accounting, among others.

High School Students must:

  1. Apply to College of Marin.
  2. Submit a completed College Credit Program (CCP) Form which includes:
    • Signature of parent or guardian
    • Signature of high school principal or counselor (Note: This does not apply to a pupil who is not enrolled in a public or private school)
    • Signature of a College of Marin counselor
  3. Visit http://www1.marin.edu/high-school-programs for more information on currently offered  High School programs & orientation dates.

Middle School or Below

The District may admit highly gifted elementary students through the 8th grade level for enrollment to the College, provided that they are eligible to participate based on the criteria established below.

Admissions Procedure

The student must be recommended by his/her school principal or designee, who must verify that the recommended student can benefit from college instruction.

  1. Student must submit a special petition form, which includes:
    • Signature of parent or guardian
    • Signature of high school principal or counselor
    • Signature of a College of Marin counselor
    • Signature of the College of Marin instructor teaching the course
  2. Students must submit a completed College Credit Program (CCP) Form, which includes:
    • Signature of parent or guardian
    • Signature of high school principal or counselor
    • Signature of a College of Marin counselor

Depending on the requested courses, students may be required to complete the appropriate matriculation process prior to registration, which includes:

  1. Math and/or English Placement Test
  2. Student Success Workshop
  3. Counseling appointment
