Priority 1: Monday, April 29, 2019

Students who have completed the matriculation process, meet the eligibility criteria and are participating in the following programs:
EOPS
SAS (DSPS)
CalWORKS
TANF/Tribal TANFA Veteran
An active member of the military

Or are:
Foster Youth (eligible up to dismissal)
Homeless Youth (eligible up to dismissal)

Priority Saturday: Saturday, May 4, 2019

College Success Saturday

Priority 2: Monday, May 6, 2019

Continuing student-athletes/Matriculated and good standing

Priority 3: Tuesday, May 7, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) who have completed the Matriculation* with 30—74.5 units completed, in-progress units and have a current Student Ed Plan***

Priority 4: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) who have completed Matriculation* with 1—29.5 units completed, in-progress units and have a current Student Ed Plan***

Priority 5: Thursday, May 9, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) who have completed Matriculation* with 75—99.5 units completed, in-progress units and have a current Student Ed Plan***

Priority 6: Friday, May 10, 2019

New students who have completed the Matriculation* process and are not one of the identified groups in Priority 1

Priority 7:  Monday, May 13, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) with 30—74.5 completed and in-progress units**

Priority 8: Tuesday, May 14, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) with 1—29.5 completed and in-progress units**

Priority 9: Wednesday, May 15, 2019

Continuing students (in good standing) with 75—99.5 completed and in-progress units**

Priority 10: Thursday, May 16, 2019

Concurrently enrolled high school students

Priority 11: Friday, May 17, 2019

All other categories, including but not limited to:

  • New applicants who have applied for admission but not completed the matriculation process
  • Returning students
  • Readmitted students after dismissal
  • Students with 100+ completed degree- applicable units at COM
  • Students who are not in good standing (on academic/progress probation or dismissal)

Defined as:
Orientation
Counseling/Student Educational Plans (SEP)

**Upgrade priority opportunity
Continuing COM students in good standing who have completed the Matriculation* process before the priority determination date for the next registration cycle will be upgraded to Priority 3, 4 or 5, depending on units completed and in-progress

*** Current Student Ed Plan
A provisional or long term Ed Plan for the upcoming semester(s) that a counselor certifies for the student for each semester. If the student fails to update their Ed plan with a counselor as indicated they will fall back to lower priority.  (For Spring 2020:  The SEP will be considered “current” as long as Fall 2017 is included, whether the student came in to see the Counselor once, or more times.)
