ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Peer tutors provide academic support to currently enrolled College of Marin students in variety of subjects.
- They are committed to helping the diverse student population become more effective and empowered learners.
- Tutors support study skill development, promote understanding of course concepts, and encourage independent learning.

ABILITIES/SKILLS/DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. Have received and "A" or "B" in the course they wish to tutor
- Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
- Have great interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds
